I have a problem with an update feature of Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003. When attempting to open an Office program, I a dialog box pops up and asks me to locate the following file ' SKU011.CAB ' either from my installation CD or by browsing the installation source on my network.

I seem to have lost this option with a recent reload of Office XP. So here goes. I am based in Japan and running a laptop with Japanese Vista, Office 2007 etc. I am happy with the operating sys in Japanese but as using the office suite in Japanese tends to slow my work rate down by about 200% (I am only just learning the language) I would like to know if there is a 'language pack' to turn my japanese office into an english looking office.
Any help is happily received. I'm running office 2000 on a XP machine.when I open Word I get this message 'changes have been made that Affect the global template, normal. Do you want to save? These changes?'
If I hit yes the window closes out of Word back to my desk top.if I hit no the same thing happens.the only way is to cancel. My question what must I do to make this message stop popping up. Or work with it. 4. I installed Microsoft Office Home and Student trial (60 days). I configured it 3 different times. It comes up on the excel and word, but I am allowed to do no keying, deleting or anything.
Why doesn't Microsoft Office Home and Student 60 day trial period work on my computer when it said it would? I am searching for how to insert auto text as we did in the 2003 program. As you started to type it would display a word or words, paragraph etc. That you had added to auto-text and you could use it by hitting enter or just go on typing, I haven't been able to find this function as of yet, and I have read all I know to read. It is not building blocks I want. I want it to automatically insert auto text words that match what i am typing??
I am running Windows XP Prof SP2. When office was installed it was done over a network and XP only had a single user.
I recently created a new windows user called 'mon'. Now when 'mon' tries to run Excel, Windows installer starts.then cant find sku111.cab. As mentioned it was installed over a network that can no longer be accessed. I don't mind if 'user' can no longer access Office so long as 'mon' can. Surely the original disks are not required when a new windows user is created under XP? PS When I cancel the installer it then continues to start Excel with no apparent adverse effects.
I found this on the web. No clue if it'll work but it's worth trying. Click on startruntype 'excel /s' without quotations and click ok. Once Excel is up in safe mode with the error message in front, hold down ctrl+Alt+Delete keys on your keyboard to bring the task manager up. Click on the processes tablook for msiexec.exe (only the one next to your user name), click on it and end the process. Excel should be running without an error message nowclose Excel in safe modereopen it one more time in safe mode to check if it is opening with no error message. Close Excel /s and open Excel normally, it should work fine.

During the install it asks me to install me to put in my installation CD looking for a file called SKU111.CAB Unfortunately this file is not on the CD. Does anyone know where I can find this file?
Hello, I have a laptop from work that has office pro 2003 on it. It worked fine until I installed windows activesync for my mobile device. Since I was having problems with the activesync cd version, I uninstalled it but then when opening MS outlook 2003 I got the error message: 'Installation error: file not found. A required installation file SKU001.CAB could not be found.' After which I hit cancel. I thought uninstall of activesync deleted this file so I went to the windowsmobile site to download the latest activesync program and installed it, hoping that this would solve the problem. No more missing file message.
Today I wanted to open an excel file and I got the missing file message again (same SKU001.CAB file). Since I do not own office 2003 (the laptop and all junk that's on it is from my work, remember) I had to download a pirated office pro 2003 copy from the internet to be able to put the cd in after which the SKU001.CAB file seemed to install but now I get a ZF612702.CAB missing file message which doesn't install from the office cd!
Can one of you geniuses here help me out please? I have this problem in update from my Office 2003. When i go to the update, need the sku111.cab, but dont have this cab in my office cd. The Microsoft Brazil dont have a solution for this problem. This cab is incompatible with Microsoft IIS and Microsoft VS. When updating Office 2003 & Outlook, I receive the error message 'cannot find the file SKU111.cab'. Traveling on the road for the next 3 weeks (already been gone for 2) and my Outlook isn't working correctly.

I keep getting a error pop-up saying that Outlook.pst could not be acessed. Data error (cyclic redundancy check). I can't delete or move any emailes from any folder (Inbox & Deleted folders too). I can open them but am only allowed to close them. Also having trouble downloading emails from my webmail server (the downloading process won't complete to where the emails are removed fro the server and the new emails don't stay in the Inbox - they disappear when I restart the computer.
Tried the detect & repair option, but it hangs up when it tells me to find the missing SKU111.CAB file. I haven't a clue where it might be and my install CDs are 3000 miles away. Is there anywhere where I can download the file? I need to get work down, but I can't while Outlook is messed.
This was a message on desk top lost all my icons and files were hidden since then i've had things fixed but later discovered that microsoft office had this message cannot find file skuoll.cab or skuo11.cab. When i click on microsoft office its says its installing the should have already been there in the start up menu programs.
So i click cancel then microsoft office comes up. So please i need help can't afford to keep paying some one to fix my problems.
